Sayant — McEvoy

Saturday, October 14, 1944

Rev. E. Maloney solemnized the marriage of Lillian Teresa, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gus McEvoy, to LAC. Archibald A. Sayant, R.C.A.F., son of Mrs. Sayant and the late Alex Sayant, in St. John’s Church, Osgoode, on Saturday morning at nine o'clock. Mrs. James Dewan played the wedding music.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Miss Dorothy McEvoy, her sister, as bridesmaid, and Mr. Roddie Sayant, brother bf the bridegroom, was the best man.

A floor-length gown of white brocaded satin was worn by the bride. Her finger-tip veil fell softly from a coronet and she carried an arm bouquet of American Beauty roses and baby mums.

A reception at the home of the bride’s parents followed the ceremony and later the couple left on a wedding trip to Montreal and other Eastern points. For travelling, Mrs. Sayant wore a brown wool suit with a beige top coat and brown accessories. They will reside in Ottawa.
