Saturday, August 25, 1945

In St. John's Church, Osgoode, this morning at 10 o’clock, the marriage was solemnized of Lillian, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Boyd, to John, son of Mrs. Joseph Loughlin, Rev. E. Maloney officiating. Summer flowers adorned the church. Miss Leona McEvoy, Osgoode, played the wedding music and accompanied the soloists. Miss Mary Loughlin and Mr. Arnold Kelly.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, and attended by Mrs. S. Ryan as matron of honor. Mr. Michael Loughlin was best man, and the ushers were Mr. Harry Boyd, Jr., and Mr. Bob Loughlin.
A gown of white taffeta on princess lines with a slight train was worn by the bride. Her veil of tulle illusion fell from a coronet of orange blossoms and she carried an arm bouquet of Talisman roses.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents in Osgoode, after which the couple left for Oxford, Mich., the bride travelling in a turquoise crepe dress with black coat and accessories. They will reside in Mountain, Ont.

Among the out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Phelan and Miss Ethel Loughlin, all of Ottawa.
