Mrs. Catherine Doyle Dies in 87th Year

Mrs. Catherine Doyle, highly respected resident of Ottawa for the last 20 years, and a member of a well-known family in South Gloucester and Osgoode, died on Wednesday, at her residence, 102 James street, after a lengthy illness. She was in her 87th year.

Mrs. Doyle, who was born in South Gloucester, was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Foran, pioneer residents of that district. She was the widow of William Doyle, who died 24 years ago.

A member of St Patrick’s parish, she was identified with pariah activities, and was a member of the League of the Sacred Heart.

She is survived by five sons, James, Nicholas, L. Gladstone and William, of Ottawa; Thomas, of Montreal; three daughters, Mrs. M. A. Kelly, Misses Helen and Vera Doyle, all of Ottawa.

The funeral will be on Friday morning at 8.45 from the parlors of McEvoy Brothers. 235 Kent street, corner Nepean to St. Patrick s Church Solemn requiem high mass will be chanted at 9 o clock, by Msgr. G. D. Prudhomme. The body will rest in Notre Dame cemetery vault until Spring when burial will take place in St. Brigid's cemetery, River Road.
